Jessamine County

Jessamine County, Kentucky is a tale of two natures. The northern portion of the county is home to Ramsey Farm and Taylor Made Farm, owned by two of the most well-known families currently in the horse industry. The Lexington-Nicholasville Road, however, has been extensively-developed for industry, retail, and residential uses. The region is dotted with lovely historic homes, and many smaller pleasure horse operations, particularly near the Woodford/Jessamine County line. California Chrome, the richest Kentucky Derby winner in history, makes his home as a stud at Taylor Made.
