Constructed ca. 1878 by the prominent Lexington banker & hemp dealer Avery S. Winston, 255 North Broadway is a fine example of Italianate architecture. Believed to have been designed by the noted Cincinnatus Shyrock, the home contained some of the finest ceiling plaster-work & architectural details of the era.
