We visited with broker Zach Davis for a spring Q & A. Read on to discover the best meal in Lexington, the Kentucky books he’s been reading lately, and the career he almost had.
What have you read recently?
I am late to reading Cornbread Mafia but can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve also been buying copies of Landaluce for friends- an incredible story about an incredible horse.

What’s your favorite restaurant meal in Lexington?
Just one? It’s really difficult to beat Steak Frites from Dudley’s, best consumed after a sip or two of their current barrel pick. I’d eat anything Krissy at Courtyard Deli put in front of me. A hotdog alfresco from Boonedogs with my kids is pretty great too.
If you weren’t a real estate broker, what would you be?
I was a history major at Transylvania University and considered pursuing a career as a historian of some kind. As a kid, I wanted to become a Lexington Police officer and even had the child-sized uniform to prove it!
